Overview

Gopalpur is a prominent coastal destination on the lap of Bay of Bengal in Odisha. It is one of the tranquil and relaxed coastal areas in India with biodiversity as well.   

Biodiversity in Gopalpur Sea Beach :  Pacific ridley sea turtles are seen on the Gopalpur beach as they utilize it along with other nearby villages for nesting. This golden sand lets us see other regular beach creatures as well.

Best season to visit :  November to February

Best possible route :  Gopalpur is 606.1 km from Kolkata via NH 16. The nearest rail station of Gopalpur is Berhampur. From there, one may reach Gopalpur by car. Bhubaneswar is the nearest airport of Gopalpur. Reaching there by flight, one may take train or bus to reach Berhampur.
